New York City Skiing is Roller Skiing. Roller skiing is the same as inline skating only you incorporate your core, arms and back into the show. You can actually roller ski with your inline skates! Grab your inline skates and helmet, pads and come roller ski with us. We actually begin on land without wheels and develop some upper body coordination and strength. Then we can move you in a few different ways depending on your skill set and what we determine your developing balance level is. You also have a choice in deciding what option you want most depending on how you feel.
Ultimately we want you on roller skis and using cross country skiing technique. But along the way we will get you on inline skates if you have them and we also use skateboards with beginners to acclimate them to rolling and spiking the pavement with one ski pole.
